November & December - Blue Topaz and White Gold Engagement Ring |
A romantic and meaningful engagement ring idea is to choose a ring with the birthstone of your husband-to-be. The sentiment behind the choice makes the ring all the more meaningful and special. Birthstone engagement rings also are a very economically friendly idea; you can get the style and quality of ring you desire at a fraction of a price by avoiding a diamond as your center stone. Unless, of course, your future fiancé happens have a birthday in the month of April and then you're back to the classic diamond ring.
I chose a blue topaz and silver ring for my engagement/wedding ring. My husband's birthday is near the end of November which makes his birthstone topaz. Technically, November topaz is typically a golden yellow but I did not want that as the color of my stone. Upon doing further research, the birthstones of November are topaz and citrine; the topaz is typically associated with the golden yellow color however any color topaz is accurately, a November birthstone. December also has a birthstone of topaz; traditionally associated with the blue version. Facts are facts and stones are stones so I believe if the birthday in question falls in either the month of November or December, feel completely free to choose whichever color of stone you prefer.

Burlap Advent Calendar with Truck |
I love filling an advent calendar every year for my husband. When we were in a long distance relationship, I had a prefilled coffee advent calendar sent to him. It is the 12 days of Christmas Coffees advent calendar shown below. He loved it and to go along with it, I bought him a football mug to drink the coffees in. Now that we are together, I plan on buying him an advent calendar and personally filling it. I have listed some of my favorites that I am considering on this post. I loved having an advent calendar growing up and plan on keeping this as a special holiday tradition.
My favorite men's advent calendar this year is absolutely the Wera tools advent calendar. I love the box so much and really like tools even though I don't use them. My husband doesn't really use tools either or I would make sure he had this for this year. Regardless, it is still my favorite! What a cool idea. My husband's favorite I'm very sure would be the fruit spreads and honey advent calendar. He is obsessed with peanut butter and loves peanut butter and jelly.

Japan is full of natural and architectural wonders. Beautiful shrines, temples, statues, cherry blossoms, bonsai trees, and the list could go on! There is definitely Japanese influence felt throughout the world. Japanese styled wedding Save the Dates could be a unique and beautiful choice. Especially so if you got engaged in Japan or plan on getting married in Japan or a Japanese styled location. My husband and I got engaged when we were living in Sasebo, Japan and these would have been the perfect choice. All of our adventures and memories of our time there are just so special.
In this post I have featured the front side of my absolute favorite wedding Save the Date invites. For those that don't display the wedding information on the front, you can easily access the product page to view the back. Each invitation can easily be personalized with your information on the product page. Additionally, you can select from different choices of paper. At the bottom of the post I have featured a collection of a more complete selection of Japanese styled Save the Dates.
My favorite Japanese styled wedding Save the Date is the Japanese Koi Fish and Cherry Blossoms style. Koi fish symbolize love in Japan which makes the invite extra meaningful. Additionally I love how it appears that the card is just made out of water with floating flowers. You seem to be gazing down into a beautiful pool of water...
